 Analytics is equipped with a user friendly graphic user interface (GUI), which provides a complete set of tools to analyze detected problems.

The Analytics user interface includes the following main elements:

Main Menu

Includes menu items and submenus for performing actions in Analytics. Available menus are:

  • Dashboards
  • Administration
  • Indexing
View Type PanelProvides three buttons for selecting one of the following three types of views:
 Folders and Logs – the logs are presented in their Folders and Logs structure, as defined in XpoLog Manager.
Applications view – the logs are presented under the context of their associated applications.
Servers view – the logs are presented under the context of the servers on which they are located. Under this view, server metrics analysis is also available.
Graph Display and Time Control PanelArea for entering the search query and the time interval for running the query.  Also enables opening the Actions menu, from which the search query can be saved (also as a monitor) and the search results exported to a PDF. Also enables opening a page with four tabs, which enables you to select a saved search or a search from the search history, or to view the Simple Search Syntax and the Complex Search Syntax

The graph display area enables filtering the graph to show analysis for logs under specific Folders, Applications, or Servers. It also provides buttons for zooming into or out of the graph, default view, hiding metrics, summary view, split view, risk view, and total view.

The time control area enables users to select the time frame for which the Analytics analysis is presented; this time frame can be changed easily at any point.

Problems Graph

Displays a graphic distribution of the events resulting from the search queryanalysis.

Problems Summary Table

Enables refining your simple search results. Includes the following sections:

  • Isolate Results
  • Analytics Insight
  • Interesting Fields
Most Severe Problems Table

In the case of a simple search, displays all the events that match the search query.

In the case of a complex search, displays a summary table of the events that match the search query.

Presents detailed information of the data displayed in the problems graph. For each member in the Folders and Logs, Application, or Server (according to what you selected), a summary of the analysis is displayed, each relevant to the specified time frame.

Most Severe Problems Table

For each selected view type and time frame, the Analytics presents the top 10 problems (with the highest severity) that were found in the analysis.
