You can manipulate and perform actions on any gadget widget by accessing the available options using any of the three icons the menu Image Added icon in the righthand right hand side of the Gadget the Widget header bar.

Gadget Widget options are:

  • Relocate

    Edit – For

    changing the location of the gadget within the dashboard (see Relocating a Gadget).
  • Minimize – For hiding gadget results (see Hiding/Showing Gadget Results).
  • Expand – For showing hidden gadget results (see Hiding/Showing Gadget Results).
  • Maximize – For displaying the gadget on the full page (see Maximizing/Restoring a Gadget).
  • Restore – For restoring a maximized gadget to its original size (see Maximizing/Restoring a Gadget).
  • Refresh – For refreshing gadget results with current data (see Refreshing a Gadget).
  • Export to PDF – For exporting a gadget to a PDF file for printing (see Exporting a Gadget to a PDF File).
  • Edit – For editing a gadget definition; Please see Administrator's Guide for details.
  • Remove – Dor removing the gadget from the dashboard; Please see Administrator's Guide for details

  • Duplicate – For duplicating a widget definition and creating a new one (see Managing Widgets in the administrator's guide).

  • Delete – For removing the widget from the dashboard; Please see Administrator's Guide for details.

  • Generate Now – For forcing a data generation and update the widget result.

  • Pin to Top / Unpin from Top – For placing a widget at the top of the dashboard or releasing a widget which was pinned to top of the dashboard.

  • Export to PDF – For exporting a widget to a PDF file (see Exporting a Widget to a PDF/CSV/Excel File).

  • Export to CSV– For exporting a widget to a CSV file (see Exporting a Widget to a PDF/CSV/Excel File).

  • Export to Excel– For exporting a widget to a Excel file (see Exporting a Widget to a PDF/CSV/Excel File).

  • Copy Permalink  This option copies to the clipboard a direct link to the widget. The link can be then used externally to XpoLog to present the widget's result (for example in an iFrame in an external portal). 2 parameters which should be considered to be added to the link:

    • Login credentials - mandatory in case Security is active in XpoLog, a user and password with the credentials to view the dashboard should be added: &autoLogin=true&username=[USER_NAME]&password=[PASSWORD]

    • Enable Zoom - optional, dashboard/widgets contain links to zoom in back to XpoLog to see the result, by default the zoom in links are presented. It is possible to add a parameter which determines this behavior: &allowZoom=false or &allowZoom=true

  • Relocating a widget - it is possible to drag and drop widgets to a different location within a dashboard (see Relocating a Widget).
