The contents of the Search Results Area depends on the type of search that you perform:

  • For a simple search, each result event is displayed.
  • For a complex search, a summary table of the result events is displayed.

Simple Search Results Area

The following table describes the user interface of the Simple Search Results Area:

Search Results Summary Panel A panel that summarizes the results of the search, and provides navigation to the result event pages.
Events ToolbarIncludes icons for expanding/collapsing events and for disabling/enabling analytics.
Events Area

A graph with the timeline selected in the search query in the x-axis, and the number of matching events in the y-axis.

The graph shows the distribution of events matching the search query over the selected timeline. In each timeslot, provides a zoom-in icon  for zooming into the timeslot. After zooming in, provides a zoom-out button for returning to previous zoom level.

 

Search Results Summary Panel

The Search Results Summary Panel includes the following details:

Clicking this icon displays in the Event Page Navigation Area the numbers of the previous ten pages, and displays the first of these pages in the Events Area.

Clicking this icon displays in the Event Page Navigation Area the numbers of the next ten pages, and displays the first of these pages in the Events Area.

Event Page Navigation Area 

Displays the page numbers of up to ten pages of events. You can display the previous/next ten page numbers, by clicking the / icons.

Clicking a page number displays that page of events in the Events Area. The current page number is highlighted in white.

Events Toolbar

The Events Toolbar includes the following elements:

/Clicking the  icon expands all events to display their stack traces; clicking the  icon collapses all events to display their stack traces.

Clicking the   icon disables analytics for all events; clicking the   icon enables analytics for all events.

Complex Search Results Area

The following table describes the user interface of the Complex Search Results Area:

Selecting this icon displays a line graph of the event distribution.

Selecting this icon displays a bar graph of the event distribution.

Selecting this icon displays the event distribution originating from each log, separately.
 Selecting this icon displays a summary view of the event distribution from all the logs.
