The Log Viewer can be is opened from the homepage, or from the XpoLog console's Log Manager, Folders and Logs menu, or Log Actions menu item.console.The system folders and logs that can be opened in the Log Viewer are arranged in the left pane under Folders and Logs, according to a hierarchy decided in by the organizationsystem administrators

Note: A regular log is preceded by a Log icon. A merged log, composed of log records from more than one log, is preceded by a split Log icon (i.e. with a line down the middle). A merged log has a Source column as its first column, which contains the name of the source log of the record. 

To open the Log Viewer:

    • Click the Folders and Logs in the left pane

  3. Log Viewer in the Log Actions menu, and then a log under Folders and Logs in the left pane
  4. The Log Viewer opens in the main pane.
    The system folders and logs, arranged according to a hierarchy decided in the organization, are displayed in the left pane.
  5. In the left pane, under Folders and Logs, expand the relevant folder until you reach the lowest level – the Log level, and then click the log that you want to open.
    The Log Viewer opens, displaying the selected log in the main pane in tabular view.

    • Double click a log to open it in the viewer. While at the viewer, its possible to open multiple logs by clicking any other log on the left Folders and logs tree.

 

While a log is displayed in the Log Viewer, the Quick use the Filter, Filters, and Actions menus appear in the left pane, Time Panel for quick filtering, filtering, and performing actions on the log displayed in the Log Viewer.  or changing the displayed time frame. Clicking on 'Reset Filters' to get back to a non-filtered view.
Note that the viewer  is not limited to the size of the logs but displays a selected number of records per screen, use the navigation buttons to got to the next/previous page of records or  the beginning/end of the log.
