Installing and Updating Your XPLG License
Users require a valid product license to run XPLG. An XPLG license is dedicated per installation server/cluster, meaning that you require a unique license for each server/cluster on which XPLG runs. A license must be updated when it expires or when you want to change license settings, such as increasing the data volume handled by XPLG. From the left navigation panel under Settings>License menu item, you can view your license settings, update your license, or generate a server key for a new license.
Generating a Server Key
A unique license must be applied on each deployment of XPLG. This requires generating a server key and sending it to XPLG. XPLG then creates and sends to you a license file, which you can install on the server.Â
In PortX use the Left Navigation Panel and select Settings > License.
The XPLG Center License page opens.Click the server key section at the bottom
A server key is displayed for the server/cluster. Note that in case running XPLG as a cluster the entire cluster console is generated on any of the nodes (it is not needed to generate a key per node).Copy-paste the the server key in an email to XPLG requesting a license for the deployment.
Installing a License
You can install a license onto your server from the License page, by either uploading the license file into XpoLog or copying the text of the license file into the License File textbox.Â
In PortX use the Left Navigation Panel and select Settings > License.
The XPLG Center License page opens. In the Update License section, in License File, click Browse to select the path to the license file that you want to upload.
Alternately, in License Text, paste the complete license text (the complete content of the .lic file you receive from XPLG).Click save.
The license is updated.ÂIt is recommended to restart XPLG after applying an updated license.
