Filters Summary

The Filters Summary report summarizes the number of filtered records over time, for each filter defined in this log, or for a selected group of log filters. 

For example, if you have a log with a Priority field, you can generate a report that has been defined to analyze the total number of occurrences and the distribution over time of the different values of the Priority field, such as 'info', 'warn', 'error', and 'fatal'.

Filters Summary Report Structure

  • Results Summary Bar – above the Graph Area; displays the total number of different results in the filter (i.e. not the number of occurrences of each error type, but the number of different errors). 
  • Graph Area – Under Summary, displays a summary pie chart showing the distribution of the total number of occurrences for each result (e.g. the total number of 404 errors, the total number of 500 errors, etc.). In addition, under Distribution Over Time, displays a graph showing the distribution of occurrences over time.  
  • Results Area – The results area lists each filter and the total number of occurrences. You can filter the list according to filter value, by typing a string in the open field above the list of results.
